I woke up to an overcast morning, preventing the sun from shining through the clouds. Since I wasn't able to watch the sunrise, I created my own makeshift version above! Sometimes you just have to work with what you've got.
The other day I read a tweet from OxFam International about a fundraiser this weekend to raise awareness for the 12 million people suffering from famine in East Africa. However, this is not your average bake sale or car wash! Environmental websites, social media mavens and nonprofit organizations are joining together for a 48-hour blogathon to educate readers on the issues and connect them to resources to donate to the cause. This is the first event of this type I've ever heard of and I am looking forward to following it and seeing the impact it makes.
