I came across a great case study of how social media is creating new opportunities for advertisers and small business owners. Intel recently launched "Visual Life" - a video series of how technology is positively impacting people's lives which ultimately serves the purpose of subtly promoting the Intel brand. I think it is a powerful way of integrating social media, advertising and marketing into one short promo video that takes the viewer through an interesting journey. One video I watched and particularly liked is the story of Kitty & Lala, two young Chinese wedding photographers who share their story of how social media and the Internet has allowed them to creatively pursue their dream job. A quote shared in the video that stood out: "Sometimes you must put pressure on yourself, because from this pressure, something creative will burst."
Take a few minutes to watch the video and see what you think.
Do you think Intel's use of storytelling is a creative way to promote their brand?
