Weekly Jams

It's Wednesday. Maybe you need a pick-me-up to get through the week maybe you're having a fabulous week and just want some feel good tunes - but whatever the reason, the new Wednesday Weekly Jams section is being added to The Daily Challenge. Take a listen to this first post of the new section (and as always, your feedback is welcome - this is subject to change!) The Weekly Jams post will be a consistent way to highlight some of my favorite songs to get ya through the week. This week's theme is songs taken from recently released albums. Enjoy!

• Florence + The Machine - "Never Let Me Go" The Grammy-award nominated singer released her sophomore album Ceremonials last week and it may be even better than Lungs! Hard to believe but true. I've had it on repeat the entire evening and can't get enough.
• Coldplay - "Paradise" I highlighted the album Mylo Xyloto's unique marketing tactics in a post last week but overlooked the minor detail of the incredible new sound the band debuts on this album. I'm loving it. My one gripe? It isn't available on Spotify yet. Although the band definitely deserves the #1 spot in album sales they've earned since the release!
• Ryan Adams - "Dirty Rain" The soulful singer/songwriter released the album Ashes And Fire at the beginning of of last month which I first fell in love with on NPR's first listen in September. While he has been out of the spotlight for a while, his bear-it-all lyrics and compassionate sound make for a truly incredible album fans will agree was well worth the wait.
