A friend recently told me about the upcoming OC Hope & Harmony Walk/5k that takes place at the end of this month. The event, which raises money and awareness for OC's cancer community, is something that I am looking forward to. Events similar to this, like Relay for Life, Race for the Cure, and Race with Grace, are incredibly inspirational ways to give back to not only the community, but help fight a cause that has affected each of us to some capacity. Here is a quote from the event website that I thought was really powerful - "Because cancer doesn't discriminate, we challenge everyone to come together in a show of hope and support that promotes healthy activity and encourages positive interaction."
