Pause to smell the flowers!

I often blog about "opening your eyes" to the world around you because I feel like it's something that is so important to notice the little things that are easily overlooked. And it's funny because sometimes I find that I am still not taking the time to do this (and I consciously try to!) I guess it's harder to do when you're in a hurry or rushing between places but enough with excuses! Today I walked to my meeting instead of driving (which I desperately wanted to do out of laziness) and guess what? I smelled the flowers. Literally my entire walk to my meeting I could smell flowers! It was incredible. And I saw the sunset (a recent obsession of mine.) And I felt the spring air. It was a beautiful few moments and I realized, during that walk, that it really is the times like this that you create your own bliss. Each day is a gift. We live in a beautiful world - all you have to do is see it.

What's your source of bliss today?

I don't have a picture to share so instead I am going to include an awesome song instead.

  2. I am working on being present when someone is talking to me....it is a mental "smelling the flowers" if you will. AND this is my favorite song...I used to sing it to Colton every night when I was rocking him to sleep.
