Day 4: Something about landmarks

Watching the sun slowly rise over the monumental "A" outside of Angels' stadium was a great way to start the morning. The mountains in the background add to the peace and calm of the scene and it certainly was the perfect moment for clearing my mind and experiencing the moment. Maybe it is the fact that this landmark is normally surrounded by crowds of people during a baseball game, or the fact that I drive by it nearly every day and hardly stop to look at it, but today was certainly an opportunity to enjoy my surroundings in a new way.

If you saw the movie "O Brother Where Art Thou?" and enjoyed the raspy, folk-inspired soundtrack, you will enjoy today's song by William Elliot Whitmore "Bury Your Burdens in the Ground." Although he is a solo act, his voice and guitar are more than enough to fill your ears with sweet sound!

A bonus for today's post - my best friend recently won the 2011 Air Race Classic and was interviewed for a talk show. Watch the video below if you want to witness someone who is fearless and has never let anything stand in the way of achieving her dreams!
