Take five

Today's post is about "take five" (not the candy bar, although that is one of my all-time favorites, and the image above is misleading!) I think this phrase can apply to many things, but here are a few things that popped into my head today, as we all need a break from school, work, and whatever else is going on in our lives.

Take five moments to:
  • ...relax
  • ...call a friend
  • ...send someone a meaningful note
  • ...find something funny on YouTube
  • ...listen to your favorite song
  • ...try a new flavored chai tea latte
  • ...strike up a conversation with a stranger
  • ...make a new friend
  • ...find an old email that makes you smile
  • ...look through pictures and reminisce
  • ...walk to your next destination instead of drive
  • ...tidy up your room
  • ...find an inspiring story or quote to share with others
What do you do when you "take five moments" to break away from the craziness of your day?

:)

  1. I took five to help a neighbor with their snow covered driveway and ended up with a huge piece of german chocolate cake. good advice!! And the cake was exceptional.

  3. GREAT post! 5 minutes? I try and find a quiet place (difficult with two youngsters around) and just look out the window. Or, I chase one of said-youngsters and tickle them crazy! ha.

  4. I took 5 minutes today to listen to a friend tell me about her Mother who was ill and her sister who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. That conversation wouldn't have happened if I had been "too busy" to ask how she is doing (no, how are you REALLY doing?).
